A Second Chance At A Life Of Harmony

Serving The Midwest's Farm Animals In Need

Our Mission

By providing safety, love, and specialized care, Harmony Hill Farm Sanctuary is a forever home and place of healing for homeless, neglected, and special needs farm animals.

Our Vision

At HHFS, we believe that every animal’s life is precious. Every animal deserves to live the best life they can. As a sanctuary, we are a place of safety and refuge. We seek to provide insight into animal sentience while inspiring compassion toward all living beings.

For Peace & Harmony. Not For Profit.

As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, HHFS runs on the support of our donors and volunteers. From buying our merchandise to booking your next company event, you can help us continue to provide the love, care, and hard work necessary to keep our sanctuary up and running.

Meet The Residents

From chickens and turkeys to sheep and alpacas, HHFS is currently home to over 70 happy residents.

A Private Homestead

HHFS is a working farm and homestead on private property. By operating as a private refuge, our residents have a peaceful environment where they can heal, thrive, and live out their natural lives.

Aside from private tours and publically hosted seasonal events, we are not open to the public.

If you'd like to plan a trip to the sanctuary, check out our Tours & Events page for more information.

Do You Have An Animal In Need?

Harmony Hill Farm Sanctuary carefully assesses each animal for intake so we can determine if we have the appropriate expertise and accommodations. If needed, we may also assist you with alternative options for placement. Please note, we do not have facilities for pigs, horses, or ducks. We are also restricted from accepting dogs, cats or wildlife.

We do not adopt out, breed, or sell sanctuary residents.

Please do not drop animals off at the sanctuary. If you have an animal in need, contact us directly and we will help you by discussing care options and next steps. As this is their forever home, we prioritize the well-being of our residents and are careful to ensure their health and safety at the sanctuary.

We are licensed by the State of Illinois Dept. of Agriculture as an animal shelter. License# 087-15221
